The Sant Pol de Mar Town Council and the IEFC (Institut d'Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya) convene the first edition of the Josep Gol Training Scholarship, as part of the International Festival of Proximity Documentary Photography - Sant Pol DOC, which will be held in the municipality of Maresme from October 9 to 15, 2021.
The Josep Gol Training Grant wants to offer continuity to specialized studies in photography for those people who are in the process of training. Current students or recent graduates of up to three years in the field of photography can submit proximity documentary projects of any social theme.
Works can be sent until July 10 for free following the instructions from the Sant Pol DOC website. The author of the selected project may take a specialization course valued at € 1,000 taught at the IEFC and, in addition, his work will be produced to be exhibited within the framework of the International Festival of Proximity Photography – Sant Pol DOC 2021.
The jury, composed by the director of the IEFC, Eduard Bertran, Josep Gol and a representative of the RIDO Photo collective, will choose the project that, in their opinion, represents all the photojournalistic and documentary values of a proximity photographic report.
