Hanna Jarzabek, Anna Surinyach and Juan Carlos Tomasi will participate in the Porfolio Viewing of the first edition of SantPolDOC. This will take place on October 11th within the International Festival of Local Documentary Photography SantPolDOC and it is free to apply. Application is now open.

The main purpose of this activity is to offer a public dialogue space The main purpose of this activity is to offer a public dialogue space between professionals specialised in photographic reports and those who need to exchange opinions and get reviews of their local documentary projects. There will be two sessions, one with Hanna Jarzabek and the other with Anna Surinyach and Juan Carlos Tomasi.

Adult photographers from any country, with a journalistic and documentary approach may apply until the 29th of September through the form that is attached in this post. a través del formulario que aparece al final de esta páginaIt is considered a “local documentary photographic project” those projects that have been created by the author in its place of origin or residence, which provide with their own perspective of integration of the territory that is documented.

Hanna Jarzabek is a freelance Polish photojournalist who lives in Spain since 2008. Her projects focus on the discrimination and malfuncions of today’s western society. She has also worked on projects about the radicalisation of young people and the rise of far right European movements. Her photographies have been published in media such as BuzzFeed News, El País or El Periódico.

Anna Surinyach is a photographer from Barcelona and graphics editor of the magazine specialised in international information 5W. Her work focuses on documenting the population flows all around the world. She has also co-directed the documentary short films Misbah and #Boza..

Juan Carlos Tomasi is a photographer, journalist and multimedia producer from Madrid. He has worked in Doctors Without Borders for the last twenty five years. Throughout his projects he has captured humanitarian catastrophes, epidemics and population flows all around the world. His work has been published in national and international media.
